1967 | ・Establishment of Kaigai Bussan Corporation. ・Became a distributor and service center for King Radio Corporation, an aircraft radio navigation equipment manufacturer in the USA. |

1973 | ・Acquired a business license from the Ministry of International Trade and Industry based on the Aircraft Industry Act. ・Approved as an autopilot repair station by the Japan Defense Agency. |
1983 | The BendixKing avionics sold by our company were formally adopted for the BK117 made by Kawasaki Heavy Industries, the first medium-sized twin-engine helicopter in Japan. This helicopter obtained a type certificate and started to be sold. |
1986 | Became a distributor and service center for AlliedSignal as a result of BendixKing being acquired by AlliedSignal in 1983. |
1989 | Established Kaigai Aviotech Corporation by splitting off the Aerospace Division of Kaigai Corporation. |
1993 | Concluded a manufacturing contract for telemeters with Toshiba and became an authorized manufacturing plant for telemeter equipment. |
1997 | Many of the BendixKing avionics sold by our company were installed in the MH2000 made by Mitsubishi Heavy Industries, the first fully domestic helicopter in Japan. This helicopter obtained a type certificate and started to be sold. |
1998 | ・Certified as an avionics repair and alteration facility by the Civil Aviation Bureau of the Ministry of Transport (current Ministry of Land, Infrastructure, Transport and Tourism). |
1999 | ・Became a distributor and service center for Honeywell as a result of AlliedSignal acquiring Honeywell and changing its name to Honeywell. ・Registered and appointed as a registered inspector by the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. |
2002 | Acquired approval for the Artex (current ACR) ELTs (406 series) in our product range from the Japan Civil Aviation Bureau and started to sell them. |
2004 | Delivered a Honeywell TCAS-I in our product range to the Japan Ground Self-Defense Force. |
2005 | Delivered a Honeywell EGPWS in our product range to the Japan Coast Guard. |
2007 | Concluded a distributor agreement with AgustaWestland (now Leonardo) to sell their helicopter products. |
2008 | ・Established the first AgustaWestland spare parts supply center in Japan at our headquarters at Tokyo Heliport (at that time). ・Established Kaigai Aviotech USA Co., Ltd. (now Kaigai International Corporation) in Torrance, CA, USA, as a wholly owned subsidiary. ・Exhibited an actual AW109E aircraft at Japan International Aerospace Exhibition 2008. |
2009 | Established the Defense Division to expand sales of products for the Ministry of Defense. |
2010 | Opened the Gifu Sales Office in Gifu City, Gifu Prefecture. |
2011 | Received our first order for the AgustaWestland (now Leonardo) AW109SP (nicknamed the GrandNew) in Japan and delivered it as a Doctor-Heli for Kagoshima Prefecture. |
2012 | ・Changed the company name from Kaigai Aviotech USA Co., Ltd. to Kaigai International Corporation. ・Exhibited an actual AW109SP VIP aircraft at Japan International Aerospace Exhibition 2012. ・Recognized by the Electrical Safety Kanto Committee for our efforts to ensure electrical safety. |
2013 | Received an order from Yonemori Hospital for an AW109SP as a civil medical helicopter (nicknamed the Red Wing). |
2014 | ・Acquired ISO 9001:2008 certification (design, development, and manufacturing of test equipment for the maintenance of equipment installed in defense aircrafts). ・Delivered an AW109SP as a Doctor-Heli for southern Hokkaido. |
2015 | ・Delivered Honeywell Inmarsat Satcom Systems for Japan Air Self-Defense Force C-2 transport aircraft. ・Delivered an AW109SP as a Doctor-Heli for Toyama Prefecture. ・Acquired ISO 9001:2015 certification (test equipment for radio equipment installed in aircraft). |
2016 | ・Relocated the headquarters of Kaigai Corporation to Shibadaimon, Minato-ku, Tokyo, and changed the name of the former headquarters to the Tokyo Heliport Office. ・Relocated the Gifu Sales Office to Nagoya, Aichi Prefecture, and changed its name to the Nagoya Branch. ・Delivered an AW109SP as a Doctor-Heli for western Niigata Prefecture (Nagaoka). ・Delivered an AW109SP as a Doctor-Heli for Amami, Kagoshima Prefecture. ・Exhibited an actual AW109SP EMS aircraft and mock-up of the AW109 Trekker at Japan International Aerospace Exhibition 2016. |
2017 | Held a ceremony to mark our 50th anniversary. |
2018 | ・Updated our ISO 9001:2015 certification.(Changed the applicable business to the sale of equipment and components installed in aircraft for defense) ・Delivered an AW109SP as a Doctor-Heli for eastern Niigata Prefecture (Niigata). |
2019 | Relocated the Nagoya Branch to the 6th floor of the same building to expand the office due to the expansion of business. |
2021 | Relocated the functions of the headquarters and sales division from Shibadaimon, Minato-ku, to Toranomon, Minato-ku, to expand our business and promote efficiency. |
